Let me ask you a question? If you watched the football game, what did you notice? Not the fact that the Sun Devils were getting demolished by Baylor. Did you notice something else? If not, then I will tell you. This team lacks heart, discipline and the willingness to put up a fight. Two years ago, this squad had Sam Leavitt, Jordan Tyson and Cam Skattebo as the backbone of the team. They rode a wave of momentum to the Big IX Championship and a playoff berth. This was the Sun Devils at their peak.

Saturday night showed a low point as Tyson and Skatt are in the NFL and Leavitt has joined the snake oil salesman in Baton Rouge. Oh, and the game was televised on ESPN, so millions saw this butt whipping. 55-19, a total flop of a game. This squad looks soulless as if every sap of energy was drained out. You could drink Monster Energy since it's slapped on your uniforms and on the field. Sun Devil...sorry....Mountain America Stadium was silent and watched in horror as Baylor ran circles around the Devils.

I'm not going to compare you to U of A since they have surpassed you in football and basketball. Can't say anything about the Wildcats, they took care of business against Cincinnati.

It might take a run like 2024 to stave off the horrible stench from last night's game. At least basketball season is a clean slate with Randy Barnett's first season.

Uh, uh, uh, you thought I was done, oh no! Since this piece is about ASU, there is another sport from the university that deserves my wrath. Apparently, the hockey administration was trying to toughen up its players by in all words, having them do rigorous workouts in the 104 degree heat. This made one player, Matthew Mayich, collapse and suffer an extreme heatstroke. He is currently in critical condition and likely unable to recover fully. Head coach Greg Powers is on administrative leave and is most likely he will be fired. There is an investigation still ongoing.

With everything I just stated, the hockey program is in a world of hurt. It's close to being a murder case if Mayich passes. Powers should be fired, along with the Athletic Director since this happened under their watch. The NCAA needs to do their inadequate job of being the judge, jury and executioner and drop the hammer with sanctions and penalties. You are going to have to do it since a kid's life is hanging in the balance.

It's going to be a tough last few months of 2026 in Tempe.

.......now, that's the end.
