Once again, the Bills fall short of the ultimate goal as Sean McDermott lost a power struggle. Joe Brady takes over as head coach as he tries to lead the Bills to the promised land in shiny new Highmark Stadium.

MIAMI DOLPHINS

Another regime change for the Dolphins as Jeff Hafley enters the head coach selected by them and Malik Willis becoming the starting quarterback. On paper, Miami could just get a mulligan for this season and hope to build something.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Okay now, the P-Men went back to the Super Bowl and Drake Maye became the talk of Boston. They traded for AJ Brown and hopefully, that addition could keep New England in the elite of the AFC. The Mike Vrabel situation should be...

No, no, no.....I'm not going there with that. Enough have that, moving on.

NEW YORK JETS

The Jets did some things during the off-season. Drafting David Bailey and Omar Cooper Jr. could help and trading for Minkah Fitzpatrick is a plus. Geno Smith is the quarterback, so that tells you a lot there. Another season in the doldrums, I guess.

BALTIMORE RAVENS

The Jesse Minter era begins with a lot of question marks. Can Lamar Jackson become one of the elite quarterbacks again? Can Derrick Henry churn in a season that was like 2021? Could the Ravens go back to the playoff conversation? Hopefully, they are answered in 2026.

CINCINNATI BENGALS

Cincy is sort of spinning the hamster's wheel. They did make a big splash by acquiring Dexter Lawrence from NY. Do they have the defense to get out of the hamster's wheel, and for God's sake, keep Joe Burrow healthy?

CLEVELAND BROWNS

(Sigh) Another new head coach in the mix as the Browns look for any type of bright light heading towards the season. One question is who is the starting quarterback? Acquiring Jared Verse can be a plus....hopefully. So, chalk up another lost season.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

After many years, Mike Tomlin isn't the head coach as Mike McCarthy, a Pittsburgh native, is in. This is also Aaron Rodgers' swan song. Can we see one last big bang with for the two of them as the Steelers look to get out of mediocrity?

HOUSTON TEXANS

Another winning season by DeMeco Ryans, however, we witnessed a monumental meltdown by CJ Stroud in the playoff game. His bounce back in 2026 will be paramount for the Texans' route to a potential Super Bowl. Don't laugh.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Honestly, I don't know what to think of this team. Daniel Jones hopes to return from an Achilles' injury and Jonathan Taylor continues to carry the Colts' offense. I believe this team could make a playoff push if everything comes together.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Well, DUVAL! (Liam Coen) led the Jaguars to the playoffs in his first season. They continue that momentum if Travis Hunter comes back fully healthy. Jacksonville hopes that Trevor Lawrence's 2026 is identical than his 2025.

TENNESSEE TITANS

Robert Saleh begins his first season in Nashville with his work cut out for him. Cam Ward showed flashes and now has Carnell Tate at his disposal. Can the defense improve under Saleh as the Titans hope for a prosperous 2026?

DENVER BRONCOS

Bo Nix's injury robbed the Broncos of a Super Bowl berth and now, they have Jayden Waddle to help him. The defense will be elite again, but the question is, does Denver have the total squad to be one of the AFC's top teams?

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Everyone seemed to breathe a sigh a relief (Don't lie, you did) when the Chiefs missed the playoffs. Now, they hope that Cris Collinsworth's favorite quarterback and Taylor Swift's husband can get their groove back in 2026.

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS

The Raiders are back to square one as new coach Klint Kubiak and new quarterback Fernando Mendoza or Kirk Cousins? begin their quest to not be the Raiders of the past few years. It's going to be a while before Las Vegas is legit.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

The Chargers seem to have the getting to the playoff part down pat, it's the whole advancing in them that trips them up. Can Justin Herbert elevate his team to that destination, or will we see another repeat from previous seasons?

DALLAS COWBOYS

Aye, the Cowboys are in a situation where they don't know if they are a playoff team despite Jerrah trying his best to tinker with the roster. Dakota has the weapons, but can the defense be solid or be underwhelming? Huge key for them in 2026.

NEW YORK GIANTS

John Harbaugh has arrived and is ready to whip the Giants into shape. With the roster of Dart, Skattebo, a healthy Nabers, Abdul Carter and draft pick Arvell Reese, New York's NFC team has a playoff caliber squad on paper. Can they translate that to the field?

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

This is how dysfunction can kill a championship-caliber team. AJ Brown is gone and the Eagles could shake off the loss with a still dominant squad that could wreck havoc in the regular season. Can they take it a step further in the playoffs if they go?

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

The Commanders took a step back last season as Jayden Daniels suffered the sophomore slump. Washington wants to get back to the form of 2024 and by signing Odafe Oweh and drafting Sonny Styles, their defense can be strong for this season.

CHICAGO...(OR NORTHWEST INDIANA) BEARS (Yes, this will get annoying.)

Last season was a breakthrough for the Bears. Caleb Williams made the Madden cover and Ben Johnson has a complete team that could reach to the summit of the NFC. 2026 could be a rocking year in Chicago.....yes, I said Chicago.

DETROIT LIONS

The Lions suffered a glitch in the system last season after tearing through the league in 24'. People believe that the window has closed on their opportunity to reach a Super Bowl, but if everyone is healthy, Detroit could make that trip to the Super Bowl eventually.

GREEN BAY PACKERS

Yes, the wild card game was a slap in the....but Micah Parsons is healthy and hopefully everything is stable on Josh Jacobs' front, the Pack could overtake the Bears and maybe the Lions for the division title in 2026.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Yikes, the Vikings took a huge step back last season where #9 was ridiculed. However, this system has been able to make quarterbacks solid. This could help Minnesota out of their funk and to a prosperous 2026.

ATLANTA FALCONS

A new era is happening in Hotlanta as Kevin Stefanski steps in as head coach with the task of figuring out which southpaw quarterback to start (MPJ or Tua) Drake London and Bijan Robinson remain at the top of their positions, that is key for 2026.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Well, the Panthers made the playoffs and decided to continue momentum with the Devin Lloyd and Jaelan Phillips signings. This year could be fruitful. Don't Tepper it up, Dave.....Tepper.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

The Saints were who we thought they were in 2025, but Hamilton High alum Tyler Shough looks like the answer at quarterback. Can the Saints improve in year 2 under Kellen Moore?

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

The late season collapse was frightening, but could be a footnote despite franchise mainstay Mike Evans bolting to SF. Is this the last hurrah for Baker Mayfield and coach Todd Bowles? I say no.

ARIZONA CARDINALS

I can hear the jokes now, "This team is going to have one or two wins this year." If they can figure out the QB situation, apply a healthy dosage of Jeremyiah Love and the hopeful resurgence of MHJ, the Cards could shock people, right?....RIGHT?!

LOS ANGELES RAMS

Old man Matthew Stafford had his best season where he snagged the MVP, but GM Les Snead pulled another rabbit out of the hat by trading for MYLES FREAKING GARRETT! It's win or bust mode in Inglewood.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Despite the yearly MASH unit, the 49ers made some strides to compete in the NFC. If this team can be fully healthy, they might......might surprise people in taking the division.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

The Hawks used a blueprint that was successful years ago to win the franchise's second Super Bowl title. Despite key members leaving in free agency, including Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III, Seattle has the depth to continue their success for this upcoming season.

Well, that's the review. The roads will end in Inglewood, Cali for Super Bowl 61.
