Why does the Association continue to trip over themselves? Did they actually think that this was going to work? The All-Star Game and its tournament format more than confused everyone with how the whole thing worked. People seem to be fed up, and they are not quiet about this.
-The Futures Game seems to be a little more competitive than the actual All-Star Game. The idea to have the winner of this contest move on to the Game is far-fetched.
-The Celebrity game is confusing since I don't know half of the people that are "celebrities." I know Bayley because of WWE, but not much after that. They seem to focus more on Kai Cenat (This guy again) and Druski. Ask me if I've seen Druski anywhere, I will draw a blank.
-The Skills Competiton needs to go away, like by next year. People were joking around that Wemby and CP3 were disqualified for bending the rules. Does anyone really care? They even had an official try to be stern by showing them the rules and forbidding a sideline reporter to talk to them. You are not fooling anyone, guys.
-There are certain actors that have made me nauseous and cause me to grab what is left of my hair. Kevin Hart just made that list after this weekend. He was everywhere and talk over certain events. We get it, everyone, Kevin Hart is short. The digs about him being tiny have become nauseating.
-The three-point contest is probably the only beacon holding the festivities together. Dame was close to three-pe.....I mean, winning three consecutive three-point contests. However, Tyler Herro took advantage and made a name for himself in this contest.
-The slam dunk contest was as advertised, bland. Mac McClung etched his name in history by winning three straight contests. Many will say that Stephon Castle should have won, but what can you do?
-The games leading up to the championship had too much time in between them. The whole point of this weekend was for BASKETBALL! I am not giddy because Mr. Beast is giving away money. People went to the Bay Area to see more basketball than see the celebrities. This reminds me of WrestleMania 11, when the company focused on stars instead of the product.
Stephon Curry won the MVP because Bay Area. This is a situation where the NBA is in a pickle. Maybe you could use the Bud Selig formula and say that the winner gets home-court advantage for the Finals. It's crazy, but that ship has sailed a long time ago.
